Dubai - women

Europeans think that women in UAE have no rights at all, but it is only stories. A man in UAE can have 4 wives, but he can take the second wife only if his first wife and her relatives agree. So the women have more authority than we think. They don't do things that they don't want. If a woman doesn't want to housekeep a special woman, generally from India, with good reputation is invited. Women can wear any clothes they want: national or European. A lot of women work as public officers but not for money (it is the husband's obligatory). The work gives them possibility to feel important and give possibility to communicate in working environment but not only in clubs or at home. Other emirates have another historical laws and of course the women have another possibilities.
